Domains and HTTPS

Use the default address, add your own domain, and turn on HTTPS.

The default address

Every app gets an address under aaldot.xyz as soon as it is deployed. You can also take a subdomain of your choice from Settings → Domains.

Your own domain

  1. In Settings → Domains, click Add domain and type it, for example shop.example.com.
  2. At your DNS provider, create the record the pop-up shows: type A, the name, and your server's address as the value. Use @ as the name for a root domain like example.com; some providers want the full name instead.
  3. wdot checks the record and tells you when the domain points at your server. DNS changes can take a few minutes to an hour to spread.

HTTPS

Once the domain points at your server, turn on HTTPS for it. The certificate is issued and renewed for you. When a service has several domains, mark one as the default.
